I think most of the guide was written to explain the crafting in the context of the self-use (build stuff for yourself). So it wasn't really aimed to those players looking at the crafting as a market opportunity, but just as a way to approach this part of the game that is often hidden to the not experienced players.

The market doesn't really need a general tutorial since it's mostly a matter of "player strategy" more than a system that needs to be explained to understand how it works.

This tutorial was mostly a "technical" explanation. Then you are free to play with it the way you like, after you have understood how it works.
