I think you're far too premature with your judgement. Lost has no "Lord of the Flies" elements, at least not as far as I can tell. The "survival" aspect becomes much less important after the first few episodes. The shaky cam + closeup thing doesn't really happen anymore once things slow down a bit after the polit episode. Lost is basically highly-entertaining character-driven mystery series. It's not the Jesus of TV shows but it's pretty damn good and it keeps getting better and better.
