Hrose, let me introduce you to something called "The Kirby Barrier".
Named after Silver Age comic meister Jack Kirby. Kirby would write stories on the cosmic scale, the fate of universes hanging in the balance, exploring the burdens that power places on people, and then Death would show up in the form of a medieval knight with a flaming head on a skateboard. And you'd either shrug and keep reading or be shocked out of the magic circle.
The point is, everything is ridiculous if you look hard enough. Everything. Every "Springtime For Hilter" thing. How you feel about that ridiculosity determines whether or not you can get past the Kirby barrier.
