Im just putting myself into an investors point of view.

When WOW was in developement the industry was still kind of new and growing, now it's a multi-billion dollar phenomenon, thanks to games such as WOW.

With every gaming company new and old trying to get a piece of that billion dollar pie, the playing field is different.

Im not going to argue that all the new games are crap, because they are. My only point being that if some company comes out with a new innovative idea, you can be sure that everyone and their second cousin will be watching and drolling from the sidelines planning on copying that particular idea and capitalizing on it without spending a dime of thier resourses.

Im no fan of NDA's, but I think to some degree they have a purpose.
