Re: LFG systems
If a game is actually good, it does not require an LFG system. Players should be befriending people around them in a natural way, rather than using artificial in-game tools to form a perfectly balanced group of players that come from every corner of the game world.
Of course, there is room for different MMOGs for different players. And added to this is the fact that some MMOGs can fit an LFG system a bit better than others (e.g. sci-fi MMOGs like Neocron and EVE Online), since the technology lore can somewhat accommodate such an in-game tool (it's still not great, since it "game-ifies" a player's position in the world in terms of location, level, and current quest/mission/dungeon-run). In an immersive fantasy game that is meant to have a rich, archaic world, LFG systems don't fit in well at all.
