DDO works collision detection and a certain amount of movement strategy into its combat system. A simple example, a fighter can block a doorway or someone with a shield can protect there buddy behind them from incoming arrows.

Sadly, they just scratched the surface of what they could of done. Just implementing 'threat' zones ( as per D&D rules), collision betwen players and a melee walk speed would have opened up so many strategic possibilities. Ah well.
