Re: Give credit where credit is due

I plan to steal everything on your site that you write and I promise I will implement all of it incorrectly. I understand the concept of giving credit though and will name an all male brothel "The Cesspit" in your honor. I may also add a fool on a hill who will drop a four page diatribe on NPC dynamics when he is killed.

The real problem will come up when one of my NPC miners accidently picks up a PvP artifact during a frantic battle near a mine and proceeds to deplete all mines on the continent whilst singlehandedly defeating armies of players. Any players that this uber-miner encounters who are using a skillset that is not entirely focused on one aspect will be defeated because even though it's more entertaining to be a Jack of All Trades you will be horribly underpowered. Since everyone who did focus on one combat type already quit do to boredom there will be no one to stop him. This in turn creates a huge demand for currency and items but since no one can farm do to the Miner they will be forced to buy it all from my companies online item and currency store. Eventually our servers will fall into disrepair and when the playerbase threatens to quit we will liquidate the companies assets overnight and move to Cuba leaving at least 50 people wondering what happened to the game.

Ps. Reading this blog is more entertaining then actually playing most of the current MMOs. Please keep up the good work so that all might prosper from your ideas slowly leaking into development cycles.
