I think you are looking at this the wrong way. Mythic is putting something in their game that seems to be an idea that you have had in the past. Because they are doing this, it should be a clear indication that the idea really isn't a very good idea. Every one of your ideas can't be great, so Mythic is helping you pick out the ones that suck.
So there you go, the idea sucks. In 6 months to a year, Mythic will prove how much it sucks. Their Customer Support/Game Designers are helping you figure out what works well and what doesn't.
