Let me clarify, that's how I interpreted that exchange over on F13, that is not an actual quote by Jacobs.
What really hurt LotRO was the class implementation. Not only did it not expound on class roles aside from the standard fare, the spells and abilities are poorly implemented and feel generic. This is really too bad because the content driven portion is lauded and when the players hit the cap, there is less motivation to take another character to the end again.
If Warhammer can make a better PvP system than Daoc, it will be the biggest MMOG this year. I haven't played the game, so I can't gauge a worthy opinion on the content driven portions and PvP systems, but it's not hard to beat WoW's shoddy implementation, but you can't discount its replay value. It's shallow and egotistical, but people find it addicting, mainly those who do not care about World PvP.
More MMOG posts, you should pick up Warhammer and dissect that when the time comes.
