FW launched today and so far it proves to be really inaccessible - to enlist you need an unmodified faction standing of 0.5 (ie. without grinding those boring PvE missions first you can't even get into FW), plus the need to break away from your current social network to even join (with the need for individuals to leave their corp, and for corps to leave their alliance). Meaning the newbie will fail to meet the faction requirement and people unwilling to part with their established social environment will fail to meet the corp/role requirements

in short, an overhyped pile of crap for alts and for NPC corp mission grinders to get their feet wet in PvP... grats CCP, I guess
