Hi,

I'm having the same exact problems. Here's my setup:

Core2Duo OC'D @ 3ghz
2gigs ram
windows xp
geforce 8800 gts 320mb OC'D @ 650/1050
10k rpm 150gb raptor drive

I get smooth framerates running around solo, and when the client starts for a few minutes. Seriously, with a lot of people on the screen in RvR/Scenarios I drop to a minimum of 8 FPS, going between 8 - 15 when heavy and 20-30 at other times. I've seen fraps show 1 FPS. The above poster is spot on, when standing still it's great, I get hard drive thrashing when moving around. More so that any other game I've played.

- I just defragged with 2 different defragging programs, 3 times each.
- no viruses/spyware
- minimal background tasks running
- very optimal/efficient system - winxp that's taken care of by someone who knows how to (me)
- cpu and video card being overclocked aren't an issue, same thing happens with when they're not.

- all other games work FINE, fast framerates

- I get these problems in WAR @ 1920x1200 with all settings max in game as well as @ 1280x800 with all settings at MINIMUM, IN GAME and IN DRIVER SETUP as well. The framerates are a little better with everything at minimum at a low resolution, but there is something seriously wrong with this game if I'm getting horrible performance at these settings.

- I've also tried a re-install/defrag, etc...

- What gives?
