I agree with your assessment of Tom Chilton's deficiencies as a game designer. I think he's been a disaster for WoW and I've said so on many occasions over the years on my website. He's certainly ridden on Blizzard's coat tails for quite a while now. I'd like to see this clown design a MMO from scratch and put his ideas out there in the marketplace. I think the results would be obvious: utter failure.
However, I take exception to your characterization of capitalism which seems to have somewhat of a Marxist tinge to it. I think a better metaphor would be that people who try to keep the power in the hands of the few are tyrants and despots. I think there are far better examples of political systems, in particular totalitarian countries where this is self-evident. (Read: I doubt that North Korea in it's current state will ever produce a top of the line MMO.)
