Skill as a major factor in PVP will never work as long as it's tied into a item based, PVE achievement MMO like WoW. As long as they keep trying to mix water and oil together WoW will be in a state of permanent confusion and turmoil.
I'd give anything to see the original design document of WoW. I seriously doubt PVP was ever fleshed out in those documents. As it stands currently PVP lacks harmony and cohesion with the main body of WoW which of course is PVE based.
