Re: On MMO's recent numbers

In any case Eve-Online seems to have stalled during the last year, maybe reaching its full potential within the constraint of game design that sure isn't made to be appealing to the large public (along with basic flaws that they simply decided to not address).

If i'm not mistaken, not too long ago there was change in how Eve-Online handles expired subs -- characters on such accounts would no longer continue to train their skills. I could see change like that cause quite a few people to get rid permanently of their 2nd (3rd, whatever) account used to train characters "cheaply" in such manner, rather than keep re-activating these every now and then. So if the game did not lose subscription numbers overall, then i'd guess they still have some growth which balanced out these "extra" losses caused by change of policy.
