You don't like Martin. I get it.

But the success can't be measured in a timeframe either. If people are willing to wait 4 to 5 years for a book, then you can't consider the project a failure.

And the 4 books Martin released so far entertained me far more than any of the Erikson books. That's success.

But trying to impose your view on Martin to his fans, what did you expect? I don't agree with your arguments either, but I'll not be trying to convince you of mine either.

And btw, in my oppinion, if the 4 books martin published sold more than the 10 books erikson wrote, then the series has more success. Same way that if harry potter or twilight sell more than martin, then those series have more success.

Are they better? It's subjective. A teenage girl will tell you they are. I wouldn't.
