While I do think the character creation screenshots are probably fake, one has to remember that the expansion is in alpha or an early internal beta state. Sure, the icons for the earlier screenshot may be right out of WCIII. But what better source could they use as placeholder art? "Four races ..." vs "Five races ..." could have been a typo that was corrected in the alpha/beta before the second screenshot.

Sure, they're probably fake. But the reasons people have been giving (here and elsewhere) for them being fake don't impress me.
