Since you don't seem to have trackbacks, I thought it was polite to mention that I referenced this post in my second post on the subject!

In any case, I maintain that there was a degree of planning in the timing of the announcement vis-a-vis the billing date for the expansion, even if the lack of foresight on consequences was born of pure incompetence...
